Avraam Pittakis & Sons Ltd. was established in 1974 by Mr. Avraam M. Pittakis in Paralimni, Cyprus. Having steered a remarkable track over the years in the manufacturing of building materials, the company has managed to become a dynamic leader on the island. To achieve this, the company has been steadily implementing a long-term business plan with a vision and a strategy focused purely on its clients and the needs of the local market.

In 2006 the company entered a new chapter in its history, with the construction of a new state-of-the-art production facility that conforms to the highest standards for safety, health and environment. The facility is fully automated and one of the most modern of its kind throughout the Mediterranean, allowing for the production of large quantities, at the highest-quality in the market.

This production plant allows the company to focus on the manufacturing of cement-based construction materials such as a wide variety of adhesives, grouts, compounds, plasters, mortars.

In the early 2010s the company started research and development in architectural coatings and by the middle of the decade it had launched a new line of products under the brand name Globus Colors. The line includes paints, primers and latex’s and waterproofing slurries.

Towards the end of the decade, the company evolved to the needs of the market, with the introduction of thermal insulation products and textured coatings that complement the construction of thermal facades, including mortars for adhesion and leveling of thermal insulation panels, fiberglass mesh and finishing plasters. The new category, and a team of qualified engineers lunched the brand Alfa Thermomonosi by Pittakis, which has become the leading solution on the island.

In 2021 the company rebranded itself with the introduction of a brand-new logo, and the brand name Pittakis Building Materials.

Pittakis Building Materials holds the quality management certificate ISO 9001 for the production and sale of all of its products. All products conform to the EU quality standard, CE Marking.
